The drumbeat of war is being played in Washington over Syria. This is not the battle cry of the Republic. It is not our battle and it is not even our Republic. Nothing and no one is able to stop all of this bloodletting or staunch the flow of red blood corpuscles, and no one from the West should even bother to try. In 2013 President Obama unwittingly extended an open invitation to America’s enemies to drag us into another war in the Middle East. It wasn’t bad enough that we already got sucked into three wars in Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan from which we are still trying to extricate ourselves, but by issuing his ultimatum not to use chemical weapons in Syria to the combatants in Syria, President Obama has created the conditions by which we can be pulled into still another endless no-win military conflict.
