The Nuts Don’t Fall Too Far From the Hanging Tree

Newsflash…This is a breaking story!!! Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Senate Majority Leader was injured Friday afternoon in a six car pile-up on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas. I wonder what the good Senator was doing in Las Vegas…Was it official business, or was it gambling or prostitution? Unfortunately for many of us, it looks like the good Senator’s injuries were not personally life threatening, and they will not imperil his ongoing activities in the U.S. Senate.
The crash occurred around lunch time, or high noon for all of you Western enthusiasts… or as old Remus Reid, a fictitious distant relative of Senator Reid would have said, “right around hanging time.” (That’s not hang time for all of you basketball buffs.) It’s real hanging time for all of you horse thiefs, which by the way is reputed to include Senator Reid’s great, great uncle who was supposedly hung for the crime of stealing a horse! Too bad we don’t still have hanging in place today…It sure would dispose of a lot of equally untrustworthy politicians who actually do commit crimes far worse than stealing another fellow’s horse!
The hospital reported that Mr. Reid has already been cleared for release. Shucks, you can’t blame a guy for hoping can you? After all hope is what launched Barack Obama’s political career and set him on a path (unlike Harry Reid’s) that landed him right in the White House. So I guess this means that Harry Reid will be headed right back to Washington after the November elections are over, come win, lose, or draw… and he will be back up to his dirty old tricks again in the Senate trying to dismantle our Constitution, and eviscerate our personal liberties.
The police report said that Reid was in a four car motorcade headed northbound on Interstate 15 when the accident occurred. Go figure…While everything else is headed south for the Democrat Party now, old Harry somehow manages to get in a pile up heading north.
Reid who is 72 was traveling with four other vehicles which provided him with security and additional support services.. That is a hell of a lot more than Chris Stevens, our ambassador to Libya ever had, and the three others who died there with him in Benghazi! Reid’s security detail included Cadillacs and Lincoln Continentals while the rest of his Nevada constituents are having a difficult time just filling up the gas tanks in their older Nissans and Toyotas.
He was taken immediately to University Medical Center where he received the very finest medical care that money can buy, because as a United States Senator his insurance plan doesn’t limit him to the built in restrictions that are included in Obama Care, the bill that he piloted thru the Senate!
About the only good thing that I can say about this unfortunate accident is that poor Harry’s dear wife who was in an accident not too long ago was not with her husband at the time it occurred. Perhaps she had no reason to go to Vegas to gamble or to visit a hooker!
