For all of you young people who don’t know what just happened to you with the passage of HB3590, the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”, the so-called “Obama Care”, to put it rather bluntly, you just got run over by a Mack truck! It was passed by Congress without a single Republican vote!

Please let me explain why. Mine, is the last generation of Americans who will be able to provide for their own retirement, who will be able to start out from scratch with absolutely nothing and with no inheritance and through only their own hard work and thrift, by scrimping and saving over the course of a lifetime, be able to accumulate a little nest-egg sufficient enough to be able to take care of themselves after they retire. From the day that this bill becomes law, if it is not repealed, NO FUTURE GENERATION of Americans will ever be able to do that again, i.e. to accumulate enough personal savings through their own hard work and thrift to provide for their own retirement. Henceforth, when they reach retirement age they will be totally dependant upon the U.S. Federal Government for all of their needs, which is why I call Obama Care: Obama's Scare! Why do I say that?

I say that because now you will all be ordered to purchase and maintain a health insurance policy that will cost on average about $400 per month which over the course of your lifetime will cost an estimated $275,000.

Here is the math:
Between the ages of 18 to 75 years old = 57 years
57 years x 12 months = 684 months
684 months x $400 = $273,600

That’s right, your government has just confiscated almost $275,000 from you and every other American born after 1989, and turned it over to insurance companies in the form of government mandates! If you had been allowed to save that money by choosing not to purchase a little used health insurance policy and invested that money wisely over your lifetime that amount could even be much higher. It could easily have grown to be worth a half million dollars! But alas, that isn’t going to happen anymore. Instead, you will have to turn it over to insurance companies for now to purchase a health insurance policy that you will probably not use for a very very long time!

Ultimately however, that sum of money $275,000 multiplied by all the people who will be reaching 25 years of age after the year 2014 is just too large a pool of money for the Federal Government to simply ignore, (I mean to keep their hands off). So after the draconian government regulations drive the rest of the insurance companies out of business, then the government will be poised to “take-over” the health insurance and health care industries, which is what they really want, and those high premium payments that you’ve been paying for health insurance will be phased over into higher tax payments instead.
