Prominent Newspaper Editor Arrested in Egypt and Tried for Criticizing Mohammed Morsi
I Told You So Isn’t Such a Nice Consolation!

The editor of an Egyptian newspaper the el-Dustour will be the first, but not the last person to be tried in Egypt on charges of speaking out against Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi. It is unfortunate but there were some savvy Americans that tried to warn the Obama administration about the Muslim Brotherhood. The newspaper editor's name is Islam Afifi. He is accused of criticizing the new Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt. Apparently in Egypt, Presidents are still considered to be way above being criticized even under the new so called “democratic regime” of the Muslim Brotherhood. Perhaps they think they are Pharaohs. Who would have guessed? Well, apparently not any of our American mainstream media who were whole heartedly cheering on the Arab Spring i.e. the Muslim Brotherhood uprising with unbridled enthusiasm. Next on the list to be tried soon for not sheepishly following Mohammed Morsi is Tawfig Okasha, the host of a popular Egyptian talk show. He is also accused of speaking out against the new Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt.

All of the American mainstream media were so eager to see the ouster of Hosni Mubarak. They were so eager to portray the Muslim Brotherhood in a kindly light, and Mr. Morsi as just an American educated, kindly old figure with only the love of God in his heart, who was just a part of the broader democracy movement that was sweeping the Middle East and the whole Arab World. They ignored all of the warnings! 

Away with Mubarak! Out with the old, and in with the new, they thought. The old was corrupt and oppressive. The new would be good, they hoped and reported. And they let their hopes influence their reportage. "Mohammed Morsi was not a part of the military wing of the Muslim Brotherhood", they said. He was different. "He could be trusted", the Obama Administration and the American press reported.

The new Egyptian Parliament which is now controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, last week hand picked all of the new editors for the State controlled newspapers in Egypt, in spite of protests from members of the Egyptian press. I hope they are all happy over there at the White House now that they have managed to pull this whole thing off! Barack Obama built this! He engineered the Muslim Brotherhood's takeover of Egypt. He told the Egyptian military to stand down and allow this Muslim Brotherhood backed revolution to succeed! Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton facilitated the overthrow of the Hosni Mubarak government with the help of their Muslim advisors, Valerie Jarrett at the White House and Huma Abedin over at the State Department. I hope they are planning on taking full credit for the evolving disaster that is happening right now in the Middle East. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are responsible for the spread of the Islamic revolutions across the Arab world in Egypt, Libya, and more recently now in Syria!

Some more realistic and skeptical members of the intelligence community warned of the folly of comparing Mohammed Morsi and his bloody band of Islamist reactionaries in the Middle East with George Washington and the American Patriots who pledged their sacred honor to one another. But no one in our State Department or at the White House, or in the media would listen… Father Barack and Mother Hillary know best. They know what is in the best interests of the United States of America.  And all of the lapdog media just ate it all up. They ate up all of the propaganda coming from the White House and the State Department!

The mainstream media worked hand in glove with the Obama Administration to unseat the government of Hosni Mubarak, a long time American ally. They accused him of being heavy handed and not worthy of continuing in office. All the way from Washington D.C. to my home town of Eugene Oregon where the editor of the local newspaper here wrote that the United States needed to use our considerable leverage to force the Egyptian military to stand down and let the Muslim Brotherhood take over Egypt. All of the American mainstream media collaborated with the Obama Administration to facilitate this goal of overthrowing the government of Hosni Mubarak, our ally in the Arab world. Congratulations one and all. Step right up Democrats and take full credit for what you have done! You built this! You built the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak! You built the Arab Spring! You built the destabilization of Syria, and the ouster of President Saleh in Yemen! And don't forget you engineered the downfall of Moammar Gaddafi in Libya! You built all of that!

There never was an Arab Spring! There never was a well-organized Democracy Movement in the Middle East! There was only a well-organized illusion created by the Muslim Brotherhood! It is not an Arab Spring that we are witnessing. It is more like an Islamic polar shift! A polar shift occurs every 50,000 to 100,000 years on earth. That is when the North and South Poles flip, causing widespread disruptions and devastation everywhere. That is what is going on in the Middle East, a polar flip not an Arab Spring. And Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton built that! It was they who facilitated the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and it was they who arranged for the removal of Hosni Mubarak. They should be ready to take full credit for the results of their disasterous foreign policy initiatives. An Egyptian newspaper editor was arrested last week for criticizing Mohammed Morsi. Natural gas pipelines have been blown up in the Sinai desert near the border with Israel since the Brotherhood's ascension to power which supply natural gas to Israel. President Morsi is scheduled to travel to Iran soon to meet with that Iranian President and official "nut-job" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. WELL DONE Obama Administration! Way to go Barack and Hillary!

Next week another prominent Egyptian member of the opposition community is scheduled to go on trial for criticizing President Morsi and the ruling Muslim Brotherhood … His name is Tawfiq Okasha. He is the host of a popular Egyptian talk show. Perhaps we have that to look forward to in our own country soon…Maybe Barack Obama would like to see Americans arrested for criticizing the President of the United States… After all there was the National Defense Authorization Act that was recently passed by Congress, and the newly signed House Bill, HR 347 which puts severe restrictions on the Constitutional right of all Americans to express their grievances. It allows the Secret Service to arrest anybody they consider to be  ”bothering the President”.  And remember the so called “Fairness Act” that would force conservative talk radio stations to hire liberal commentators to counter the opinions expressed by conservatives in the media. Perhaps President Obama would like to see members of the American press silenced if they criticize him!
