A Progressive Slide to Socialism is Far Worse than Any so called Fiscal Cliff

What is all this talk about a fiscal cliff when the real problem that our Nation faces is the political cliff that we are about ready to fall over! Has anyone bothered to notice that we are no longer a Union of fifty sovereign States anymore? Have you noticed that neither Democrats nor Republicans seem to value the original intent of the Founding Fathers, nor the clear meaning of their original earth shattering words contained in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

Democrats talk about a living, breathing Constitution as if it were a lump of clay that can be re-configured to form just about anything they want, instead of the solid, unmovable bedrock of our Republic upon which this Nation was founded. So all of this talk about an impending fiscal cliff is really nothing in comparison to the great existential danger that we are facing from the real political cliff that is in our Nation’s future!

For the past one hundred years, our Nation has been drifting down a slow, but steady path towards Socialism. We are following the progressive road to tyranny. The only difference between Socialism, and Marxism or Communism, is the point of a gun, and the speed of the transition. In the end, the result is always the same. It is the elimination of personal liberty and the exaltation of excessive government power. This transition began in the early years of the 20th Century after World War I during the Woodrow Wilson Administration. The first public evidence that we were heading in that direction was the formation of the League of Nations which was championed by President Wilson.

The progression continued on after Woodrow Wilson’s death and after World War II with the successful creation of the United Nations during President Franklin Roosevelt’s Administration. It was further re-enforced by all of the Great Society Programs of Lyndon Baines Johnson during the 1960s. All of these were Democratic Administrations, but in the intervening years when there were Republican Administrations like Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, and Bush… they did nothing to turn back the hands of time, nor to change the country’s direction, nor to stop our downward momentum! They did nothing at all to turn back the course of this Nation, or to stop our country’s leftward and downward slide. In some cases they even cooperated with Democrats in order to hasten our Nation’s journey down this progressive descent!

Take the George W. Bush Administration for instance. The Federal Debt and the annual budget deficits nearly doubled during his lackluster Administration, and he personally let foreign countries troll within our Nation’s borders for valuable economic plunder to exchange for their increasingly worthless Federal Reserve Notes. George Bush was no less a globalist than Woodrow Wilson or Franklin Delano Roosevelt was!

We are quickly losing all of our remaining freedoms in America from the freedom to choose what we can eat, to the right to own real property and accumulate personal wealth, to our rights to a reasonable expectation of privacy, the right to be safe and secure in our homes from unreasonable searches and seizures, to the right to our own personal religious beliefs, to the right to peacefully assemble, to the right of access to information, and many, many more rights. The Constitution states that, “The enumeration of certain rights… shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” AND ALSO “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States are reserved to the States respectively or to the people.” Those are the 9th and 10th Amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.

These are some of the freedoms that prior generations of Americans fought and died for on foreign battlefields to preserve. And they are systematically being taken away from us today by enemies who are far worse than any that they ever fought, right here at home. Are you willing to stand in the gap and halt the progressive decline of America that parallels our progressive slide to Socialism and State tyranny?
