Many conservatives are breathing a welcome sigh of relief because we think we got rid of Jeb Bush and we stopped him from becoming the Republican Party Presidential nominee in 2016, but did we? Don’t be so sure. Jeb Bush and some other high profile people who are acceptable to Republican Party bigwigs aka “The Establishment” are waiting in the wings right now just biding their time. They are waiting for an opportunity to step in and “save the day” for the RNC, and guess what? Ted Cruz is giving them just the opportunity they need to do that…
Ted Cruz won the Iowa Caucus. Then he won three Republican primaries on Super Tuesday. He won in Texas, Oklahoma, and Alaska. Then he won in Maine and Kansas. He has won nine state primaries so far and he is trailing Donald Trump by less than 100 votes. Trump has won in ten states and he has 382 delegates. Cruz is second in all of the national polls with about 300 delegates, and while Senator Cruz could never beat Hillary Clinton in a General Election He is simply too polarizing to appeal to moderate Democrats. He could never persuade enough middle of the road, blue collar Democrats to vote for him the way that Donald Trump can, nevertheless he can continue to site phony push polls published by liberal news organizations that actually want Ted Cruz to run against Hillary Clinton. These push polls show that Ted Cruz could beat Hillary Clinton in a head to head matchup, but let’s get real. There are not enough evangelical Christians in America to beat the hordes of Hillary Clinton supporters and her progressive compadres.. The only thing that Ted Cruz can do is deny Donald Trump the nomination on the first ballot which will lead to a brokered convention where the RNC will pick the next Presidential nominee for us… Enter Jeb Bush, or John Kasich… or maybe even Mitt Romney who has been patiently waiting in the wings. Romney would not refuse the nomination and neither would Paul Ryan if he was asked to run.
Mitt Romney came out with this week with a scathing attack on Donald Trump. He called him every name in the book. If Mitt Romney would have attacked Barack Obama that way in 2008 then Barack Obama wouldn’t have won a second term, but Mitt Romney reserved his fiercest criticism for the current Republican front runner who so graciously endorsed him back in 2008. You can listen to Donald Trump’s endorsement of Mitt Romney in 2008 here. I think Mitt Romney’s recent speech at the University of Utah revealed a lot more Mitt Romney than it did about Donald Trump.
The magic number to win the Republican nomination is 1237 delegates.. Yesterday that number was 1227. It just went up by ten delegates overnight.. Is the RNC already moving the goal posts back and changing the rules so that Donald Trump cannot possibly win the nomination, or did Bloomberg News just have faulty information? The powers that be in the GOP are seriously considering changing the Rules at the Convention in Cleveland so that Donald Trump cannot get the nomination even in the event that he actually does get the 1237 delegates he needs to win outright. Is the R.N.C. playing us for suckers again? Do you remember what the R.N.C. did at the last Republican National Convention? They changed the rules to make it harder for grass roots conservatives to affect the process.. They drove Morton Blackwell and the entire Virginia delegation around in circles on a bus while they voted to change the rules. That is the kind of Republican Party we belong to, and Mitt Romney was deeply involved in changing those rules along with Reince Priebus.
At this point it looks like Ted Cruz is all the RNC needs to prevent Donald Trump from winning the nomination on the first ballot. John Kasich is waiting around to see what kind of support he can drum up at a deadlocked Convention… but as of April 15th Donald Trump is leading with 744 delegates and Ted Cruz has 559 delegates. The nominee for President needs 1237 delegates in order to win… No candidate has consistently won more than 50% of the vote in the primary so if any one is going to actually win the nomination outright before Cleveland then someone is going to have to do a lot better than they have been doing up till now…
Jeb Bush suspended his campaign, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t accept the GOP nomination if it was offered to him at a brokered convention. He still has all the money he raised to use in the General Election to defeat Hillary Clinton if he becomes the Party’s eventual nominee. John Kasich or Mitt Romney would be quite happy to be drafted as well…
Ted Cruz can never get enough moderate Democrats or independents to vote for him in a General Election the way that Donald Trump can. He is too far to the right to appeal to middle of the roaders. The moderate Democrats that Donald Trump will be able to bring over to the GOP will be the margin of victory against the Democrats in the next election, but at a brokered convention the Establishment would pick our next Republican nominee for us so I caution anyone who is supporting Ted Cruz to rethink your decision. Think long and hard about supporting this Trojan Horse. A vote for Ted Cruz is really a vote for a brokered convention, and the elites that will be choosing the nominee at a brokered Convention won’t be picking Ted Cruz to represent the GOP.
I know you want to put the most conservative person at the top of the ticket, but the chances of Cruz beating Hillary are nill and nada in spite of what some of those Democrat pollsters are telling you. They are trying to mislead you… The consequences of continuing to support Ted Cruz will not only siphon votes away from the clear leader in the Republican Primary who is Donald Trump, but it will also usher in the inevitability of a brokered convention in which neither Cruz nor Trump will be the eventual Republican Party nominee for President.
Many of the valid arguments I have made about Ted Cruz not being a Natural Born Citizen because he was born in Canada and because his parent’s were not both American citizens at the time he was born have fallen on deaf ears up till now, but the prospect of a brokered convention should scare the daylights out of you. Do you really want to have the Republican National Committee pick your next GOP candidate for President? Do you really want the RNC to manipulate the process behind closed doors? Do you really want to allow Jeb Bush or John Kasich or Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan to be the Party’s alternative to Donald Trump or Ted Cruz because that is exactly what will happen if you don’t withdraw your support for Ted Cruz immediately. The man you are supporting for President is not even eligible to be President according to Article 2 Section 1 of the United States Constitution.
Let me ask you a question. Who stands the most to gain from the Ted Cruz’s campaign for President…? Isn’t it the Establishment ? Even though Jeb Bush suspended his campaign that does not mean that he wouldn’t be happy to accept the Party’s nomination if they drafted him.
Think of what you are doing. Consider the consequences of your actions. Remember how Republicans wound up with Mitt Romney during the last election. It was because there were too many conservatives and pseudo conservatives all vying for our votes. Remember how divided conservatives were between Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain. It was this division that Mitt Romney exploited to win the Republican nomination for President. This time their is one clear leader in the race. If we don’t unite behind him we are going to get a brokered convention where the elites will pick our next nominee for President. We all need to get behind the clear leader in this race. That is Donald Trump.
Senator Cruz can only be a spoiler who denies Mr. Trump the nomination on the first ballot and that will inevitably lead to a brokered convention in which GOP movers and shakers will pick our next nominee for us… Why else do you think Kasich and Rubio are still hanging around plus don’t forget about Jeb Bush. Don’t ever forget about Jeb Bush.

I predicted almost a year ago when Ted Cruz first entered the race that his campaign for President would only prove to be divisive. I said all he would succeed in doing is split the conservative base of the Republican Party over the question of his eligibility. That is exactly what he has done. Ted Cruz is the main reason that Scott Walker and Rick Perry dropped out very early in the race… Both of those candidates were at least born in the U.S.A. to citizen parents and they were perfectly eligible to be the next Commander in Chief. Whether or not you liked Walker or Perry is not the point. At least they were constitutionally eligible to run. Ted Cruz is not.
I supported Scott Walker when he was running, but all of the “Cruztitutionalists” made sure that Walker’s plane never got off the ground… Now you are hell bent on denying Donald Trump the nomination too. He is the only candidate in the race that can get enough moderate Democrats and Independents to vote for him so he can beat Hillary Clinton. Furthermore he can’t be bought or sold. If Cruz supporters keep doing what they are doing then they will allow someone else to sneak in through the back door… If you don’t want that to happen then for Pete’s sake stop supporting Ted Cruz for President. It’s time to get smart.
