Dishonesty is Not Only an Imperfection.  It is a Disqualifier!

John McCain told us not too long ago that we had nothing to fear from Barack Obama.  That was back in 2008 when he was running against Obama for President.  He was wrong then, and he is wrong now.  McCain was not right when he made that assessment of America’s first openly avowed Socialist President, and he is wrong today too when he openly endorses Mitt Romney in the 2012 Republican Primary to run against President Obama in the General Election.  In fact John McCain is almost never right, or right of center.  It seems that even a broken clock is right more often than John McCain is!  John McCain is usually left of center. That's why conservatives don't listen to him.

Why would any Republicans be persuaded by the endorsement of a renegade, unpredictable Senator from Arizona who votes with the other Party almost as often as he votes with his own Party?  As far as trustworthiness and dependability goes, John McCain is a little bit like another Arizona native son, Geronimo, who couldn’t be trusted very much either.  I’m actually surprised that McCain didn’t endorse Obama this year.  He almost did the last time in 2008, when he was running against him!

McCain told us not too long ago that we needed to provide a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens who broke the law in order to come to our country.  That was the very unpopular McCain-Kennedy Amnesty Bill, which bitterly divided our country.  But it was no problem for the five term Senator from Arizona to reach across the political aisle to his good old buddy Teddy Kennedy, and together they tried to foist this disastrous piece of legislation upon the whole country.  It was absolutely no problemo at all señors.

John McCain also supported the Obama Administration’s decision to bomb Libya and later the NATO decision to start bombing Libya.  In fact McCain supported the so called “democracy movement” all across the Arab world.  This was the so called “Arab Spring” which is really nothing more than another chilly winter in the middle of a long Islamic Ice Age. But now McCain is as quiet as a church mouse while he watches thousands of Sunni Muslims being slaughtered by the Syrian dictator Bashir al Assad.  Apparently consistency is not one of John McCain’s stalwart traits, unless it is being consistently un-predictable.

So there was nothing to fear from Barack Obama. Yeah, right. And Mitt Romney is the best Republican candidate to challenge Obama in November.   Well I don’t think so.  I think John McCain is like the New York Times and just about as untrustworthy.  I don’t believe anything that the Times says, and I don’t believe anything that McCain says.   If John McCain supports Mitt Romney then I will support someone else.  And the only someone else left in the race who is actually worth considering is Rick Santorum or Ron Paul.  They both have imperfections, but they are the only two honest men left in the race.   Neither one of them is perfect, but both of them are a lot better than the alternative of voting for a dishonest man or another phony conservative again.  Dishonesty is Not Only an Imperfection. It is an Disqualifier!
