The election campaign is heating up again, not just in the Republican Presidential Primary, but in the Congressional races too! Hopefully, we will elect an outstanding President in 2012.
But in any event, we still have to elect an outstanding Congress, to ensure that no further freedom destroying legislation makes it to the President’s desk for his signature! That should be our common goal in 2012!
And the American people are ready and willing to elect such a Congress. From all over the country, many Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalists, Libertarians, TEA Party members, and even many Democrats, - are rising up together to turn our nation away from its self- destructive detour into Big Government, and return our beloved country back to the path of Liberty!
In 2010, our campaign had the endorsements and the nominations of four political Parties: the Republican Party, the Independent Party, the Constitution Party, and the Libertarian Party. If it was possible, we might have even received the endorsement of the Democratic Party too! If we were talking about the Democratic Party of forty years ago, then there is no question in my mind about it!
Our country has stumbled, because of those in Washington who seek money and power from Big Government. They seek to take us back to an older road of history – a road of subservience to the State, and to those who rule over it. We are not going to go down that road! At least not if I can help it! And 2012 is going to be the year that we tell these people in Washington, “No to Big Government!”
For thousands of years, the nations of the world were ruled by kings, dictators, tyrants, theocrats, and other would be oppressors. Some claimed “Divine Right,” while others just ruled by the sheer force of their own might. More recently we have seen various fascist, Socialist, and Communist tyrannies rise up all over the world, each claiming to care about the plight of “the common man.” But these various forms of Big Government have always led to poverty, injustice, and war. Together in 2012, we will tell these people, No!
America has been the one great exception in the world. Our Founding Fathers refused to travel down the road to Big Government tyranny. Instead they embarked upon a new road, a different road, – a road less traveled, – the road to Liberty, justice, and individual freedom. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal…” This road is paved with the words of our Declaration of Independence, and our Constitution! “We the People of the United States…do ordain and establish this Constitution…
Our current American malaise is a huge warning sign along that road backward in time. It says, STOP! WARNING! BEWARE! Do not proceed further in this direction! Turn back from this old road to Big Government tyranny!
The loss of American jobs, our diminished prosperity, our embroilment in un-necessary foreign wars, our annual budget deficits, and our 16.2 trillion dollar’s worth of Public Debt, all remind us that our American Exceptionalism depends upon American Liberty and Justice! And American Liberty and Justice depend upon Limited Government!
Over-taxation, over-regulation, over-spending, and over-indebtedness have all been brought to us by the over-reaching hand of Big Government. These things have all been caused by career politicians like the 13 term Big Government Congressman from Oregon, Peter De Fazio! He is my opponent in this race and I intend to defeat him with your help!
We can’t expect the National Budget to be balanced, Federal over-regulation to end, and the other problems in Washington to be solved by the same crowd of self-interested politicians that caused them in the first place! We can’t expect the overspending to stop, until the over-reaching politicians are gone!
The solution is easy! Throw the incompetent bums out! And replace them with citizen volunteers, who will clean up the mess in Washington, and then gladly return to private life, where they will help to elect more citizen volunteers who will continue their good work, and make sure that our country stays on the right track!
Our Nation was never intended to be ruled by self-serving career politicians! George Washington would have turned away in disgust at the mere thought of one of these guys!
