The Problem with the Theory of Global Warming<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The sky is falling, the sky is falling Chicken Little cried\u2026 and the frightened little bird ran around warning everyone to prepare for a global catastrophe. Well today thanks to the\u00a0miracle of modern telecommunications there are thousands of fear mongering scientists and climate change alarmists all over the world who are\u00a0trying to scare\u00a0billions of people into believing that the earth is warming and\u00a0 we all need to\u00a0get ready\u00a0for a global disaster of epic proportions, one in which the oceans will rise\u00a0flooding the earth and\u00a0inundating coastal cities like New York and Los Angeles. Millions of people will allegedly die.\u00a0\u00a0At least that is what Al Gore wants us to believe. That is what he claims in his book and in\u00a0his movie, An Inconvenient Truth\u00a0.<\/u><\/em>\u00a0 Apparently Mr. Gore doesn’t read the Bible.\u00a0\u00a0A flood like this already happened and God promised\u00a0that\u00a0it would never\u00a0happen again.<\/p>\n

So who should we believe…\u00a0Al Gore or God?\u00a0Should we\u00a0dismiss\u00a0Al Gore’s\u00a0predictions as completely unscientific and just as\u00a0ridiculous as they are unproven. Should we dismiss anone who promotes\u00a0such nonsense\u00a0as a modern day chicken little, or should we give\u00a0tentative credence and a\u00a0cautious measure of respect to all of this fear mongering?\u00a0<\/p>\n

What are the\u00a0actual facts\u00a0regarding climate change? Does it exist or doesn’t it exist? Is it a\u00a0recent phenomena\u00a0linked primarily to human activity which we\u00a0 have some control over, or\u00a0has it always been around to one degree or another depending on certain\u00a0things\u00a0that are beyond\u00a0our ability to control like solar cycles, sun spot activity,\u00a0and a slight wobble in the earth’s orbit?\u00a0 The Sun doesn’t have a thermostat on it you know. What is the actual evidence\u00a0supporting this new theory of anthropogenic global warming?… Well there isn’t any. That’s right, there\u00a0isn’t any. It’s a new “science”\u00a0and indisputable data\u00a0doesn’t exist yet.<\/p>\n

Advocates of the theory of anthropogenic global warming or climate change\u00a0have\u00a0created\u00a0computer models\u00a0which they\u00a0use to\u00a0come up with\u00a0their fantastic predictions. Their computer models are based largely upon assumption and speculation. Much of their data that went into producing these computer\u00a0 models has\u00a0been carefully manipulated in order to\u00a0arrive at\u00a0a predetermined conclusion that the earth is warming due to human activity.\u00a0You can see the evidence of\u00a0this manipulation\u00a0of the data in the email correspondence between\u00a0the leading\u00a0proponents of the theory of anthropogenic global warming. As further proof\u00a0that global warming exists\u00a0observers note that icebergs are melting in the Arctic Ocean, but these observations\u00a0have to be reconciled with\u00a0other observations that\u00a0ice\u00a0is accumulating\u00a0in Antarctica. It seems that rather than a reduction in the overall amount of ice on\u00a0the planet it is more likely that the location of the ice is\u00a0shifting from the north polar region to the south polar region. Why is this happening?\u00a0\u00a0No one\u00a0knows for sure and they don’t seem to be really \u00a0interested in finding out. If\u00a0the evidence\u00a0contradicts\u00a0the politically correct theory of anthropogenic global warming then the so called\u00a0“climate scientists”\u00a0aren\u2019t\u00a0interested in\u00a0investigating it.\u00a0This conflicting information\u00a0has\u00a0become\u00a0a different kind of inconvenient truth\u2026 an inconvenient truth\u00a0that they would rather not talk about and one that doesn’t\u00a0lead to\u00a0new government grants.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nSo\u00a0is this\u00a0what science is supposed to be\u00a0about in the\u00a021st Century? Aren’t scientists\u00a0interested in the truth anymore, or are they just interested in the\u00a0pursuit of money? I thought science\u00a0was supposed to be\u00a0about\u00a0the pursuit of truth, not about securing government grants or\u00a0 cherry picking\u00a0the\u00a0data in order to arrive at a predetermined conclusion. Will Al Gore write a sequel to his book to discuss all of the conflicting\u00a0data that contradicts\u00a0his theory of global warming?\u00a0 Don’t hold your breath. Perhaps he is feeling s little guilty about the huge fortune his family has made in the oil and coal business\u00a0when his father worked\u00a0for\u00a0Occidental Petroleum, or maybe\u00a0he just recognizes a good business opportunity when he sees it\u2026\u00a0\u00a0The business of selling carbon credits seems to be a good one.\u00a0Another inconvenient little truth is that\u00a0the United Nations is leading a worldwide effort\u00a0to control more and more of our lives in order to make room for seven billion more people down here on earth by 2050.<\/p>\n
