<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n~ The Political Cliff ~<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0A<\/strong> Progressive Slide to Socialism is\u00a0Far Worse than\u00a0Any so called Fiscal Cliff<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n By Scott Rohter, December 2012<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n What is all this talk about a fiscal cliff when the real problem that our Nation faces is the political cliff that we are about ready to\u00a0fall\u00a0over!\u00a0 Has anyone bothered to notice that we are no longer a Union of fifty sovereign States anymore? Have you noticed that\u00a0neither Democrats\u00a0nor Republicans seem to value the original intent of the Founding Fathers, nor the clear meaning of their original earth shattering words contained in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Democrats talk about a living, breathing Constitution as if it were a lump of clay that can be re-configured to form just about anything they want, instead of the solid, unmovable bedrock of our Republic upon which this Nation was\u00a0founded. So all of this talk about an impending fiscal cliff is really nothing in comparison to the great existential danger that we are facing from the real political cliff that is in our Nation\u2019s future!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0For the past one hundred years, our Nation has been\u00a0drifting down\u00a0a slow, but steady path towards Socialism. We are following the progressive road to tyranny. The only difference between Socialism, and Marxism or Communism, is the point of a gun, and the speed of the transition. In the end, the result is\u00a0always the same. It is\u00a0the elimination of\u00a0personal liberty and the exaltation of excessive government power.\u00a0This transition began in the early years of the 20th Century after World War I during the Woodrow Wilson Administration. The first\u00a0public evidence that we were heading in that direction was the formation of the League of Nations which was championed by President Wilson.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The progression continued on after Woodrow Wilson’s death\u00a0and after World War II with the successful creation of the United Nations\u00a0during President Franklin Roosevelt\u2019s Administration. It was further re-enforced by all of the Great Society Programs of Lyndon Baines Johnson during the 1960s. All of these were Democratic Administrations, but in the intervening years when there were<\/span> Republican Administrations like Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, and Bush\u2026 they did nothing to turn back the hands of time, nor to change the country’s direction, nor to stop our downward momentum! They did nothing at all to turn back the course of this Nation, or to stop our country\u2019s leftward and downward slide. In some cases they even cooperated with Democrats in order to hasten our Nation\u2019s journey down this\u00a0progressive descent!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Take the George W. Bush Administration for instance. The Federal Debt and the annual budget deficits nearly doubled\u00a0during his lackluster Administration, and he personally let foreign countries troll within our Nation\u2019s borders for valuable economic plunder to exchange for their increasingly worthless Federal Reserve Notes. George Bush was no less a globalist than Woodrow Wilson or Franklin Delano Roosevelt was! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We are quickly losing all of our remaining freedoms in America from the freedom to choose what we\u00a0can eat, to the right to own real property and accumulate personal wealth, to our rights to a reasonable expectation of privacy, the right to be safe and secure in our homes from unreasonable searches and seizures, to the right to our own personal religious beliefs, to the right to peacefully assemble, to the right of access to information, and many, many more rights. The Constitution states that, \u201cThe enumeration of certain rights\u2026 shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>AND \u00a0ALSO \u201cThe powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States are reserved to the States respectively or to the people<\/span>.\u201d <\/em>\u00a0Those are the 9th and 10th Amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n These are some of the freedoms that prior generations of Americans fought and died for on foreign battlefields to preserve. And they are systematically being taken away from us today by enemies who are far worse than\u00a0any \u00a0that they ever fought, right here at home.
