Ted Cruz: A Conservative’s Barack Obama?<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\"Ted<\/a>\"Obama<\/a>Is Ted Cruz is the Republican Party\u2019s answer to Barack Obama?\u00a0 The great white hope to replace the great black hope? They are both ineligible to be President, but one is the President and the other wants to be the President. Yet two wrongs still don’t make a right and\u00a0just because something is doesn’t make it right either. Wanting to be President and going to be President are two different things and it isn’t\u00a0dependent on what the definition of is\u2026is\u00a0like another President once said.\u00a0It depends on a proper understanding of what it means to be a Natural Born American Citizen according to Article 2 Section 1 of the United States Constitution. This is something that most Democrats don’t really want to talk about, but what about Republicans? Do they want to talk about it?<\/p>\n

A good understanding of Article 2 Section 1 starts with a sincere desire to know the truth. The pursuit\u00a0of truth is not taught anymore at America\u2019s most prestigious law schools. A good understanding of Article 2 Section 1 starts\u00a0with wanting to know what the Founding Fathers actually meant and not what some 2oth century progressive judge or lawyer says that they meant.\u00a0Law professors either don\u2019t love the Constitution anymore or they don\u2019t\u00a0posses the spinal fortitude to follow and defend the Constitution\u00a0in the face of international pressure. Our elected officials don’t even have the courage to keep their oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. \u00a0They are\u00a0more concerned about the ramifications of not following international laws than they are about not following the United States Constitution. My personal feeling is that judges, constitutional law professors, and elected officials\u00a0have drifted away from their love of the truth. They have divorced the Constitution in order to chase after their latest fancy, international law.\u00a0This\u00a0new field of law\u00a0is\u00a0constructing a legal framework around which the globalists\u00a0are\u00a0building a New World Order. International law is more\u00a0exciting than\u00a0standing up for the 18th century ideas embodied in our Constitution\u00a0or so they think.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t need to be a lawyer to understand the Constitution nor a rocket scientist to\u00a0figure out\u00a0what is really going on in Washington D.C., but you might need a law degree to understand\u00a0how all the\u00a0laws they\u00a0are writing today are undermining our Constitution, eviscerating our freedoms, and destroying what little remains of our Republic.\u00a0 These are the new laws that are being dreamed up in Washington or over at the United Nations every year. You might need an interpreter who is skilled in legalese in order to understand how these laws are circumventing or superseding\u00a0our Constitution.<\/p>\n

The Constitution is a very simple, straightforward document..\u00a0You don’t need a law degree from Harvard in order to understand it. In\u00a0fact\u00a0if you have a law degree\u00a0then you will probably\u00a0never understand it\u00a0though you will understand how\u00a0lawyers are always trying to\u00a0circumvent it or undermine\u00a0it. You might\u00a0want to consider enrolling in a class taught by Alan Dershowitz if you actually want to learn how to do it yourself. Ted Cruz did.<\/p>\n

There is nothing wrong with the Constitution. It is the best governing document that mankind has ever created and Alan Dershowitz or Mark Levin with his idea of calling for a Convention of the States can\u2019t do anything more to improve it. The problem is not\u00a0the Constitution. The problem lies in the heart of the politicians we elect who are intent on finding a way around it. Those same people with their intentions will find a way around any amendments that are crafted\u00a0and drafted at a Convention of the States in the same way that criminals intent on owning a firearm will\u00a0find a way around any new law designed to prevent them from owning a firearm.<\/p>\n

Ted Cruz is a freshman Senator from Texas just like Barack Obama was a freshman Senator from Illinois when he first ran for the Office of President. That is the first obvious similarity.<\/p>\n

They both attended America\u2019s most prestigious and most progressive law school, Harvard and they both received praise from one of America\u2019s most liberal attorneys and law professors there, Alan Dershowitz. Mr. Dershowitz is a registered Democrat and a longtime Democrat donor as well as a strong supporter of both Bill and Hillary Clinton. It’s quite telling that he bestows high praise on Senator Cruz.<\/p>\n

Ted Cruz and Barack Obama were both born to citizen mothers who were living out of the country around the time they were born. They both had fathers who were not American citizens at the time of their birth. Barack Obama\u2019s father was a citizen of Kenya and Ted Cruz\u2019s father was a dual citizen of Cuba and Canada when Ted was born. While Ted\u2019s mother, Eleanor Cruz was an American citizen living in Canada when Ted was born she was also a legal resident of Canada for a period of four years before he was born and she remained a citizen of Canada for three years after he was born. Then she and her husband were divorced and she moved back to the United States which makes Ted Cruz not only a citizen of Canada, but a Natural Born Citizen of Canada. He is a citizen of Canada by birth\u2026 to Canadian citizens by choice and whatever else happened later in his life it doesn\u2019t change any of the circumstances surrounding his birth. Similarly Barack Obama\u2019s mother and father were separated and divorced shortly after he was born and his mother moved back to America. The similarities between Barack Obama and Ted Cruz are staggering.<\/p>\n

Law students who graduate from Harvard, Princeton, Yale or the University of Chicago really don\u2019t know what it means to love the United States Constitution anymore. Love is not taught in law school\u2026. Case law is taught in law school\u2026 The importance of legal precedent is taught in law school. Stare decisis is taught in law school, but not love for the United States Constitution. John Quincy Adams once wrote that, \u201cThe law is an artificial human construct good for nothing outside of a court of law\u2026 but the Constitution rests on the good sense and\u00a0judgement of the American people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Legal precedent is like a crutch that lawyers use to stand on when they won\u2019t stand on the Constitution and they can\u2019t stand on the rock of wisdom and common sense\u2026 but if you stand on the Constitution and you use wisdom and common sense than you don\u2019t need a crutch.<\/p>\n

Ted Cruz and his high profile supporters like Mark Levin boast of their love for the Constitution, but it\u00a0seems to me they have a rather less than complete devotion to the doctrine of Original Intent. Mr. Levin insists that Ted Cruz is eligible to run for the highest office in the land and that anyone who\u00a0disagrees with\u00a0his pronouncement is grossly misinformed. We should all just accept the words of talk radio\u2019s self-proclaimed \u201cGreat One\u201d as it were written on tablets of stone and handed down from the most high\u2026 Well it wasn\u2019t !<\/p>\n

Since Mr. Levin refuses to debate me on his radio program or even\u00a0acknowledge that I exist.. let me refute just one of his points about Ted Cruz right here\u2026<\/p>\n

Article 2 Section 1 was not written specifically\u00a0for Senator Cruz\u2026 It is a blanket statement that applies to anyone who wants to be the President of the United States. They have to be a Natural Born American Citizen not just a citizen. No one is questioning the citizenship of Ted Cruz\u2026 We are questioning his Natural Born Citizenship in other words his place of birth. By the same token no one is questioning the loyalty of Ted Cruz, but will we be able to say the same thing about the next person who wants to become the President who happens to have a Saudi father or an Iranian father and was born in Saudi Arabia or Iran.. Perhaps you think that\u00a0will never happen… I wouldn’t be so sure if I was you.<\/p>\n

There is already\u00a0an American woman named Lisa Hallaby who was born in Washington D.C. to a\u00a0Syrian father and a Swedish\u00a0mother\u00a0who is the wife of the\u00a0former King Hussein of Jordan. She is Queen Noor and she has four children\u2026 Would you feel the same way\u00a0about Prince Hamsah of Jordan\u00a0 becoming\u00a0 President as you do about Ted Cruz becoming President? If you allow Ted Cruz a pathway to the White House by what legal\u00a0means could you deny the same pathway to either of the two Jordanian born sons of Queen Noor. This is just one example.. There will continue to be many more examples like this\u00a0in the future as the result of our misguided immigration policies which is why I prefer to stick with the strictest possible\u00a0definition of what it means to be a Natural Born Citizen. A Natural Born Citizen is someone who\u00a0was born in the U.S.A. whose parents were both American citizens at the time they were born.<\/p>\n

The furor over Ted Cruz running for President is really not about Ted Cruz at all. It is about the legal precedent that another ineligible candidate in the White House would establish. Lawyers base their\u00a0entire careers on legal precedent instead of the Constitution and they know exactly what I am talking about. If the back door to the house is open and the flies are entering the kitchen it is perfectly\u00a0normal\u00a0to get up and close the door or\u00a0shall we just leave the door wide open and let all the flies come into the house? If you want to spend the rest of your life swatting flies\u00a0good for you. I don’t.<\/p>\n
