Bernie Sanders’ campaign appeals to hard core leftists?\u00a0 We all know that the world isn’t a fair place,\u00a0but can\u00a0government eradicate poverty? Well Bernie Sanders\u00a0 thinks it can and apparently he thinks it should, and\u00a0all of the people who support him for President in 2016 apparently think that once he is elected President he will.<\/p>\n
Bernie Sanders’\u00a0popularity among Democrats is\u00a0based on a fundamental misperception. The misperception is that government can eradicate poverty.\u00a0No government can eradicate poverty. No government has ever solved the problem of poverty and\u00a0no government ever will be able to solve the problem of poverty.\u00a0It is deeply rooted in the values and the private personal choices that different people make.. The\u00a0Bible says that there will always be poor people among us. The\u00a0only thing that government can eradicate is prosperity in\u00a0a misguided attempt at eradicating poverty\u00a0and they can do\u00a0a pretty good job\u00a0at that\u00a0through numerous redistribution of wealth\u00a0programs which\u00a0are essentially what Bernie Sanders believes in.<\/p>\n
When you get right down to it, America’s\u00a0progressive politicians are\u00a0just like all Socialist\u00a0and Communist politicians.\u00a0 They don’t\u00a0rob from the rich to give to the poor.. They confiscate other people’s\u00a0wealth\u00a0primarily to enrich themselves. They don’t really care about the poor whether you are talking about Mao Se Dung or Karl Marx,\u00a0 or Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders. If you consider the accomplishments of socialism under Fidel Castro\u00a0in Cuba or under Hugo Chavez\u00a0in Venezuela you will see that creating parity of wealth isn’t all that its cracked up to be. The reality of socialism doesn’t measure up to all of the glowing hyperbole.. Marxists have always made grandiose promises to the poor that\u00a0have never been fulfilled while they\u00a0waxed bellicose about\u00a0the disparity of wealth in the world.<\/p>\n
Today Bernie Sanders is disparaging the disparity of wealth in America. I am not doubting his sincerity. He seems like an honest man, but I do seriously question his naivet\u00e9. Under Socialist leaders the poor have always become poorer and the disparity of wealth has always\u00a0become greater. Curiously\u00a0Socialist and Communist leaders have frequently been the chief beneficiaries of this growing disparity by joining the ranks of the Nuevo Riche!<\/p>\n
Take Barack Obama for instance\u2026 \u00a0His populist demagoguery has earned him millions of dollars from admiring people who\u00a0purchased his book to read\u00a0about his plan for\u00a0redistributing\u00a0wealth. He will even make\u00a0more money when his\u00a0 two terms as President are over much like Bill Clinton did by traveling around the world\u00a0to promote\u00a0his socialist agenda. Yet when his life is over there will still be just as many poor people struggling to survive in America’s inner cities, living in cars, or under bridges, or on the streets.\u00a0\u00a0The money he makes from the sale of his book\u00a0do nothing to eradicate poverty.<\/p>\n
In the end Barack Obama isn’t going to solve the problem of poverty in America and neither is Bernie Sanders. No political leader can\u00a0reduce the amount of indigent people in the world. \u00a0Lyndon Johnson tried to do that, but after fifty years of his Great Society programs there are just as many Black people stuck in poverty\u00a0 as there were in the 1960’s. That is because poverty isn\u2019t cured by writing books or by passing laws or by making grandiose speeches.\u00a0Poverty is solved by hard work and a determination to succeed by\u00a0each and every individual who wants to\u00a0make a better life for themselves and their families. The\u00a0concept of determination and hard work is fundamentally at\u00a0odds with\u00a0Socialist ideology because hard work is based on a system of incentives. The harder one works the more money\u00a0they receive for their labor, but there\u00a0are no\u00a0incentives in Socialism. Perseverance and determination get you nothing under Socialism. I don’t know\u00a0if Bernie Sanders\u00a0popular appeal is based on a sense of fairness or\u00a0just on a fit of jealousy, but\u00a0the United States government cannot eradicate poverty. Only individuals\u00a0who are determined to succeed can eradicate poverty.<\/p>\n
Barack Obama\u2019s policies have\u00a0created more\u00a0poor people in America by providing them with a crippling sense of entitlement just like Lyndon Johnson’s policies did, and\u00a0Bernie Sanders will only do more of the same. The Bible says that there will always be poor people in the world. It is not a problem that any government or\u00a0world leader can fix.<\/p>\n
