Jimmy Carter was America\u2019s thirty-ninth President. His name is\u00a0pronounced “Jimma Cahduh.”\u00a0 The\u00a0emphasis\u00a0is on the\u00a0third syllable, but it should really be placed on the last syllable.\u00a0President “Duh”\u00a0served a single term between 1975 and 1979. Then\u00a0he lost his\u00a0bid\u00a0for a second term\u00a0to Ronald Reagan in 1980. He lost because of\u00a0the \u00a0general perception that he was weak and ineffective in trying to win the release of\u00a0sixty American hostages who were being held\u00a0captive against there will\u00a0at\u00a0our American Embassy in Tehran. \u00a0After Iranian militants\u00a0initially attacked our embassy on November 4th 1979 they occupied it and held Americans hostage there for\u00a0444 days, but within a few hours of Ronald Reagan\u2019s inaugural address on January 1st, 1980\u00a0every\u00a0single one of those\u00a0hostages was on a plane heading back to America.<\/p>\n
When the Iranians invaded our embassy in 1979 that was when the\u00a0current cold war with Iran began. There have been\u00a0times\u00a0when\u00a0the hostilities have been more than just cold and\u00a0Americans have lost their lives. Iran’s\u00a0proxies in the Middle East are Hezbollah and Hamas and with their financial support\u00a0Hezbollah and Hamas\u00a0are\u00a0fighting and killing all over the Middle East.\u00a0\u00a0Even the Huti rebels fighting in Yemen are Iranian proxies in\u00a0its long standing war against American interests.<\/p>\n
Now the big dummy who was our thirty-ninth President\u00a0when the war\u00a0with Iran actually\u00a0began\u00a0is a<\/strong>t it once again. He\u00a0has written\u00a0a new book\u00a0called “Reflections at Ninety” and\u00a0in an interview for\u00a0his book he spoke out in favor of President Obama\u2019s nuclear weapons treaty with Iran.\u00a0 In spite of his own personal experience with the\u00a0regime\u00a0he is still in favor of President Obama\u2019s nuclear weapons treaty. The guy hasn\u2019t learned a\u00a0darn thing in over thirty six years. He is still just as naive as he was\u00a0the day he left office. He still thinks the Iranians play by the same set of rules that we do. He still ascribes to\u00a0the “Supreme\u00a0Leader” his own set of Christian moral values. That was a recipe for disaster in 1979 and it is still a recipe for disaster today. He\u00a0believes that our enemies who have sworn to destroy us can be trusted to keep their word. Now if that isn’t pathetic I don’t know what is. The only thing that the Iranians respect is force… force that\u00a0stands up to and\u00a0exceeds\u00a0their own force. We have to meet their force with superior force.\u00a0The Iranians are\u00a0not intimidated by\u00a0American weakness in the face of their aggression all over the world.<\/p>\nToday Jimmy Carter endorsed President Obama\u2019s nuclear\u00a0surrender treaty with Iran and\u00a0he said he has total confidence that the Iranians will keep their end of the deal. If they give us their word they will keep it he said in an interview\u00a0for his new book. Jimmy Carter\u00a0has faith in the agreement negotiated by John Kerry. What can you say except once a dummy always a dummy? Maybe that should be the title of his new book.<\/p>\n
