<\/a><\/p>\nA Deadly Accident\u00a0in the Air <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Plus a Tragic Double Standard on the Ground\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n The Truth about the Malaysian Airliner Shot Down over Ukraine<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n By Scott Rohter \u2013 July 2014<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n It is\u00a0alleged by western media sources that\u00a0local separatists inadvertently shot down the civilian jet while they were\u00a0trying to shoot down\u00a0a Ukrainian fighter jet that\u00a0was in the\u00a0vicinity\u00a0of the Malaysian Airliner when it\u00a0was\u00a0 shot\u00a0down. This government fighter jet was suspected by\u00a0rebels of being used\u00a0to drop bombs\u00a0on\u00a0their\u00a0communities.\u00a0 I\u00a0don’t know\u00a0what is worse\u2026 a government that\u00a0deliberately bombs its own civilians or freedom fighters\u00a0who accidentally shoot down a civilian airplane while trying to shoot down the government fighter jets that are bombing them. You will have to\u00a0decide that for yourself.<\/p>\n Our very unpopular President of the United States wants to\u00a0jump on this tragedy for political purposes and\u00a0point a\u00a0deadly finger at\u00a0Russia. He wants to implicate\u00a0Vladimir Putin in this accident and start another Cold War with Russia. \u00a0It is part of the Obama Administration’s ongoing campaign of\u00a0lies and deceit which are intended\u00a0to increase international tensions, demonize\u00a0Russia, and polarize and destabilize the\u00a0entire world. The only thing\u00a0worse than a lying scoundrel like Barack Obama is\u00a0a lying scoundrel when he becomes the President of the\u00a0United States. Furthermore the only thing that is\u00a0transparent about\u00a0the Obama Administration is its penchant for\u00a0stirring up mischief\u00a0all over the world and\u00a0its panache for\u00a0everything Machiavellian in matters of foreign diplomacy. Let’s start\u00a0with Libya where President Obama wanted to get rid of Moammar Khadafy so in violation of Libya’s territorial integrity he launched U.S. fighter jets and bombed Colonel Khadafy’s strategic military assets until he had no means to withstand an assault by insurgent groups. Then there was Egypt where President Obama\u00a0insisted on\u00a0removing a strategic U.S. ally,\u00a0Hosni Mubarak from power.\u00a0Now there is Syria where our\u00a0President\u00a0supports\u00a0Sunni al Qaeda fighters who\u00a0are trying\u00a0to\u00a0overthrow the government of Bashar al Assad. Everything that this President\u00a0puts his hands on turns to smoldering ashes.<\/p>\n Need I remind\u00a0you that it is not just Russian made surface to air missiles that find their way into the wrong hands. How many American made weapons\u00a0have found their way into the hands of insurgents all\u00a0over the world\u00a0which are responsible for the deaths of thousands of civilians from the Middle East to sub-Saharan Africa?\u00a0Is\u00a0America\u00a0responsible for all of that carnage? If\u00a0we are not responsible for what others do with the weapons we made then why do we insist on blaming the Russians for what\u00a0happened to the Malaysian airliner in the skies over Ukraine? We may as well blame ourselves. After all we have\u00a0played a very significant role in starting the Ukrainian Civil War.<\/p>\n The death of all 298 passengers on board Malaysian Airlines flight 17 \u00a0is\u00a0a tragedy that should\u00a0be condemned by all sides. It should not be diminished\u00a0by \u00a0politics or hypocrisy, but\u00a0it should not be\u00a0scrutinized out of context either. It should be considered along with ever everything else that has\u00a0happened\u00a0in Ukraine\u00a0in the past year. If the Malaysian airliner was\u00a0accidentally shot down in the Ukrainian Civil War then\u00a0all of the combatants\u00a0are responsible for the deaths of\u00a0those innocent civilians,\u00a0along with\u00a0the major powers who are fighting a proxy war\u00a0in Ukraine. They\u00a0bear the blame as well. We have provoked and manipulated\u00a0a global\u00a0crises in Ukraine over access to the European\u00a0energy market and we are\u00a0responsible for what is going on there as well as the Russians.\u00a0There is plenty of blame to go around.<\/p>\n The United States supported\u00a0unruly street mobs\u00a0which overthrew the legitimate government of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich. That was the event which started the\u00a0Ukrainian\u00a0Civil War and our State Department fingerprints were all over that coup. The insurgents who ran the former President of Ukraine out of the country are now in control of Ukraine’s central government\u00a0in Kiev thanks to our\u00a0State Department.<\/p>\n The United States has had its hands all over\u00a0the civil war in Ukraine and the reason is just as plain as the nose on\u00a0an oil executive’s\u00a0face We are trying to provide\u00a0American oil companies with\u00a0access to the European energy market. Right now Europe gets most of\u00a0its natural gas supplies from Russia through a pipeline that runs through Ukraine.\u00a0America has been meddling in Ukraine just in order to sell\u00a0our own surplus\u00a0natural gas to\u00a0the Europeans. President\u00a0Obama should not be pointing his bloody finger at Russia or Russian speakers in Ukraine who are fighting for independence from\u00a0an illegitimate government that we support in Kiev. The Ukrainian Civil War\u00a0has been manipulated if not outright provoked\u00a0\u00a0by the European Union\u00a0and\u00a0by the\u00a0United States of America even while the United States\u00a0has undergone\u00a0a fracking revolution\u00a0in the oil and gas industry here at home. Right now the Russians enjoy a virtual monopoly of the the European natural gas market and it is clear that American oil companies\u00a0would like a piece of that pie in order to maintain the\u00a0high\u00a0cost of domestic energy at home. It\u2019s\u00a0as simple as that. Just follow the oil money. The immediate speculation is that it was mistakenly shot down by\u00a0freedom fighters\u00a0 in the Donbas region of Ukraine who are trying to gain their independence from the central government in Kiev. Western news sources report that\u00a0the civilian airliner\u00a0was shot down by a Russian made surface to air missile\u00a0fired\u00a0from eastern Ukraine, but\u00a0local residents in\u00a0Donetsk deny the allegations.\u00a0They claim\u00a0that Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 was shot down by government fighter jets that have been relentlessly bombing their communities. The truth is\u00a0difficult to know. It\u00a0makes it\u00a0even harder when government and media sources routinely lie to the public, but it was not\u00a0hard to find the\u00a0wreckage of the crashed\u00a0airliner. It was\u00a0scattered all over the ground for everyone to see.<\/p>\n
