<\/a><\/p>\nWhy Republicans in Congress Can\u2019t\u00a0Stop the Implementation of ObamaCare… <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n by just\u00a0trying to Defund it<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n Only the American people can put an end to the Federal Government’s\u00a0intrusion into our\u00a0private lives and put the Pandora back in its box <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>by choosing not to purchase an insurance policy through\u00a0the government’s\u00a0on-line health insurance exchange.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n By Scott Rohter, October 2013<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n “Whether\u00a0we defend\u00a0the Affordable Care Act\u00a0or defund\u00a0the Affordable Care Act\u00a0it is still a violation of the United States Constitution”<\/em> – Scott Rohter\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cLord, deliver us from government by crises\u201d<\/i> \u00a0\u00a0– Senate Chaplain Barry Black<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n … Americans waiting in line for more government handouts<\/p><\/div>\n Welcome to the new America. <\/em>The Chaplain of the U.S. Senate Barry Black prayed\u00a0in Congress, “Oh Lord, deliver us from government by crises.”<\/em> As the Democrats and Republicans in Congress joust with each other\u00a0over balancing the Federal Budget again and defunding the Affordable Care Act, it is clear that we live in two different Americas. It is not the proverbial America of the rich and the poor that I am referring to, or a country of the haves and the have nots.\u00a0\u00a0 I am\u00a0talking about a country where almost half of the voters\u00a0believe in limited government, and\u00a0cherish\u00a0their\u00a0personal freedoms,\u00a0 while the\u00a0rest of the Nation always has their hands\u00a0out, wanting\u00a0more government entitlements\u00a0in order to satisfy their own personal brand of misery. <\/span><\/p>\n People who have\u00a0an entitlement mentality believe that the Federal Government has the\u00a0authority to violate\u00a0the Constitution anytime it wants\u00a0in order to facilitate their own needs. In so doing\u00a0they believe that it can\u00a0regulate every aspect of our lives under the General Commerce Clause. This is the\u00a0heavy price we pay\u00a0in America\u00a0for\u00a0cultivating\u00a0a state of dependency among\u00a0our Nation’s urban poor for\u00a0the past one-hundred years. The liberals and the progressives in the Democratic Party believe in big government. They put their trust in the Federal Government\u00a0more than they do in the States which created it or\u00a0in themselves to fix their own problems. The authority of the States\u00a0has been\u00a0gradually diminishing\u00a0for the past 237 years, especially since the ratification of the 16th Amendment\u00a0which created\u00a0the Federal Income Tax in 1913. Ever since then our country\u00a0has been getting progressively more and more\u00a0unhinged from the Constitution and more and more unattached\u00a0to its traditions and\u00a0its foundations. We are\u00a0increasingly becoming governed by an\u00a0authoritarian\u00a0central government in Washington through a bureaucratic dictatorship.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Senate Chaplain Barry Black<\/p><\/div>\n Perhaps the\u00a0 esteemed chaplain of the Senate should have prayed like this instead. “Oh Lord , deliver us from government by Democrats<\/em>… Deliver us from a government by Democrats who would usurp our Constitution and increase the Federal Government’s role in our lives. Deliver us from\u00a0politicians in Washington who would\u00a0try to transform our Republic of fifty sovereign States into a European style socialist democracy where the supreme authority resides in Congress, the Courts and in the White House instead of in We the People.”\u00a0 <\/em>Now t<\/em>hat would have been a prayer that I could have\u00a0shouted Amen to. It would have also been a much more accurate description of the current\u00a0political climate\u00a0in our Nation’s capitol.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n So as the Democrats and the Republicans jostle with each other again over\u00a0the size of the Federal budget, and over raising the National Debt limit, and defunding ObamaCare, there is\u00a0the threat of\u00a0another government shutdown looming in our\u00a0future. ObamaCare represents the biggest intrusion of the Federal government into our private lives in over one-hundred years. But there is really no reason\u00a0to be alarmed even if the Republicans in Congress hold their ground and force\u00a0the government to shutdown.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The last Democrat provoked crisis to occur in Washington was the so called “Financial Cliff”<\/em>. Everybody in\u00a0the government media complex was working overtime to try to scare the American people into accepting another Congressional increase in the Federal Debt Ceiling. There is no financial crisis on earth that can\u00a0ever be solved by\u00a0borrowing more\u00a0money.\u00a0There is also no current crisis in government more important than the\u00a0crisis caused by the general lack of honesty and integrity in politics.\u00a0 We have more to fear from going over a real\u00a0Honesty Cliff<\/i>\u00a0than we do from\u00a0going over any so called Financial Cliff<\/i>.\u00a0 And even if we are headed for\u00a0some sort of financial precipice, we can\u2019t prevent ourselves from going over it by\u00a0borrowing more money. We are all being lied to by our Federal Government and by their collaborators\u00a0in the mainstream media.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Right now the Democrats and the media are all bellyaching in perfect harmony about how much it will cost the American taxpayer if the government has to shut down. Should we be concerned? I am not. I am far more concerned about what will happen if the government does not<\/span> shut down, because it will just continue to spend more money that it does not have while borrowing against our children\u2019s future and bankrupting the entire country in the process. If some projections in the media are correct and it does actually cost 100 million dollars every day that the government is shut down, then just imagine\u00a0how much it\u00a0costs us every day that the government is actually running.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Whatever it cost if the government has to shut down I am sure that it will cost us one hell of a lot less than it does if the government keeps running like it has been running. That\u2019s just basic common sense. It’s\u00a0something that Democrats don\u2019t have a lot of these days. our government is running amuck. We need to get a handle on our government\u2019s excessive spending habits and borrowing addictions. If a government shutdown is useful in helping us to achieve that\u00a0goal then I am all for it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Our ancestors came to this land in search of freedom, not free health care\u00a0or government subsidized health care. Let\u2019s try not to forget that.\u00a0 ObamaCare is actually a misnomer because Obama really doesn\u2019t care.\u00a0He doesn’t care\u00a0about our Constitution. He doesn\u2019t care about our Bill of Rights. He doesn\u2019t care about our right to choose whether or not to buy\u00a0health insurance if and when we want to. He doesn\u2019t really believe in choice either unless it\u2019s the choice to end the lives of\u00a0innocent little Americans in the womb. Let\u2019s show\u00a0our elected leaders\u00a0in Washington that we still believe in the Constitution, and we still believe in freedom, and we believe in choice\u00a0too, just as long as it doesn\u2019t involve the murder of\u00a0little\u00a0unborn Americans.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n If you liked this article then please sign up for my\u00a0free RSS newsfeeds. Life will still go on pretty much as usual for most Americans. How do I know this?\u00a0Today is Sunday and the government has been shut down since Friday at 5 PM. It won\u2019t re-open until Monday morning at 9 AM,\u00a0yet life is going on\u00a0just as usual without\u00a0any government around to mess things up. The government also shuts down on all Federal holidays and at the end of\u00a0every year for about two weeks between Christmas and\u00a0New Years Day. It does this all without any adverse consequences whatsoever.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/a>America is over 17 trillion dollars in debt. The Obama Administration hasn\u2019t sent a balanced budget to Congress in six years, and while the government is operating as usual (I can\u2019t say normally because nothing about the way that our government operates is normal anymore) they just continue to spend more and more money that they don\u2019t have like it is going out of style. But if you threaten to put an end to their profligate\u00a0spending and borrowing, then they all start bellyaching in perfect unison about how much it will cost us if the government has to shut down. As if they really care… All they care about is their own pocketbooks, not the National pocketbook.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/a>The Republicans in Congress can\u2019t stop the implementation of ObamaCare\u00a0by just threatening to defund it\u2026 The Federal government\u2019s on line health insurance exchange is scheduled to open\u00a0on October 1, 2013 with or without a government shutdown. President Obama has\u00a0staked his entire reputation on\u00a0that and he will veto any legislation that attempts to defund ObamaCare\u00a0if it ever\u00a0makes it to his desk, but it won’t.\u00a0His Democrat colleagues in the Senate who passed the Affordable Care Act in violation of the Constitution and our individual rights and State sovereignty have all pledged their allegiance to Barack Obama\u2019s signature piece of legislation, and they promised to\u00a0do anything\u00a0in order to see that it\u00a0gets implemented. So it is really up to us. It is up to We the People\u00a0in the final analysis to stop\u00a0ObamaCare by not signing up for it. It is up to the American people to end the implementation of\u00a0the Affordable Care Act\u00a0by refusing to purchase an insurance policy through the Federal Government\u2019s on line health insurance exchange.\u00a0\u00a0In doing so we can also send them a strong message that we still believe in constitutional government.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
