<\/a><\/p>\n\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>Marco “Boobio” T<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>he Senator formerly known as Rubio<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Starring as the\u00a0Wizard of Illegal Immigration <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n By Scott Rohter, April 2013<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n How many Republican members of Congress are so naive that they actually\u00a0believe they can work together with Democrats to create new immigration laws that will be good for our country? There are really quite a few …<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n There is John \u201cthe Bonehead\u201d Boehner. You remember him. He used to be the Republican Speaker of the House. He\u00a0was\u00a0called the Tan Man because he went to Washington in search of fame and fortune and he found both in abundance plus his favorite tanning salon. Unlike the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz who\u00a0needed\u00a0to be oiled frequently, the Tan Man\u00a0gets oiled reqularly at\u00a0all his favorite Washington\u00a0taverns.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n There\u00a0used to be two\u00a0female Senators from the State of Maine named Susan Collins and Olympia Snow. I think one of them was already blown\u00a0 away in\u00a0a serious “Snow storm”,\u00a0but the other one still remains in Washington. She is a \u201cDorothyesque like\u201d character who gives many\u00a0conservatives\u00a0a real headache.\u00a0I wonder what kind of gale force winds are needed to blow her\u00a0out of the Republican tent too?\u00a0 It must have been one heck of a twister that blow her in.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n There are many elected\u00a0politicians\u00a0who could\u00a0justly fill the\u00a0stuffed shoes of the Strawman. Like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, most of\u00a0our politicians\u00a0don’t have a spine. They have been blowing around in the wind for most of their political careers just like the classic\u00a0Bob Dylan song suggests except\u00a0for\u00a0one minor difference. “<\/em>The answer my friends is blowing in the wind, The answer is blowing in the wind.”\u00a0<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>But they never have any answers to any of our Nation’s problems. There answers only create more problems. The answer may have been blowing in the wind for Bob Dylan, but it is not blowing in\u00a0any of the hot air\u00a0that circulates around Washington.\u00a0 Nevertheless most politicians are ready to\u00a0change the direction they are blowing in at the first sign that the wind\u00a0is changing directions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n There are\u00a0many gutless wonders in Washington… which is really what the straw man was… There are so many\u00a0political straw men who don\u2019t possess\u00a0a backbone or\u00a0the courage of their own convictions, but I think I\u00a0might be getting a little\u00a0bit ahead of myself. Courage\u00a0is a\u00a0trait that the cowardly lion was looking for.\u00a0\u00a0The Scarecrow\u00a0just needed a spine.\u00a0\u00a0The Tin Man needed a\u00a0heart plus a good oiling. The lion was the one that needed the courage.\u00a0Many politicians go to Washington in search of the wrong things\u00a0 which is why there are\u00a0so many overstuffed\u00a0straw men in our Nation’s Capitol . They are just about as gutless and spineless as the\u00a0lion and the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. Instead of\u00a0strawmen in Washington what we really need\u00a0there is\u00a0more principled leaders with courage and a heart and some backbone.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Alas every year on Capitol Hill\u00a0there is a contest to see who\u00a0qualifies to be the dumbest\u00a0member of Congress.\u00a0For 2013 t<\/span><\/span><\/span>he prize went to “Marco Boobio\u201d, the Senator formerly known as\u00a0Rubio. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n That year the freshman Senator from Florida partnered\u00a0with President Obama, Harry Reid,\u00a0Nancy Pelosi and\u00a0the\u00a0entire Gang of Eight to fashion a comprehensive immigration reform bill that was supposed to be good for\u00a0America. Instead it was a horrible mistake. While it would have helped millions of\u00a0aliens\u00a0from south\u00a0of the\u00a0border\u00a0who are already in our country illegally it wouldn’t be very good for\u00a0Americans who were born here. Our language, our culture, and our treasury are all being destroyed by the relentless onslaught of illegal immigrants entering our country from Mexico and Central America.\u00a0Just visit any\u00a0one of\u00a0our big cities \u2026 Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Tampa, Chicago or New York City and you\u00a0can see what I mean.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Senator Boobio\u00a0 thinks\u00a0we should accommodate this invasion of foreigners who are seeking\u00a0jobs\u00a0in our country, but jobs\u00a0aren’t\u00a0the only thing\u00a0they are taking.. They are\u00a0receiving food stamps, welfare payments, aid to dependent children and other forms of free government assistance. We need to put our\u00a0tin heads together and figure out\u00a0a way to incentivize their\u00a0return trip back home. We don’t\u00a0need to deport them. We just need to remove the incentives that keep them here. We need to make it so\u00a0difficult for them to stay\u00a0that they all just voluntarily go home. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Good fences make good neighbors and so do strong borders.\u00a0\u00a0The Democrats have no intention of strengthening\u00a0our\u00a0southern border. They\u00a0just keep\u00a0fudging\u00a0the numbers in order to make it\u00a0look like they care. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Obama Administration has\u00a0changed the way that the Dept. of Immigration and Customs Enforcement\u00a0<\/span>reports\u00a0its statistics. If they\u00a0stop someone on the border and release them this is now considered to be the same thing as\u00a0actually deporting them. That is why it appears\u00a0that the Obama Administration is getting tough on illegal immigration when in reality they are\u00a0not.\u00a0Their rather creative arithmetic is the result of the President’s new education standards called \u201cRace to the Top\u201d which puts less emphasis\u00a0on math and science and more emphasis on creativity! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n President Obama\u00a0probably thinks he could sell ice to an Eskimo in the middle of\u00a0Winter, but he doesn\u2019t fool me.
