Barack Obama – 20th Wedding Anniversary in Office <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0I Hope\u00a0Their\u00a0Next Wedding Anniversary will be Spent Out<\/span> of Office!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n By Scott Rohter, October 2012<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Apparently on the eve of the 2012 First Presidential Debate it was also Barack and Michelle Obama\u2019s 20th wedding anniversary. I did not know that, and frankly I did not care to know about it. I was only listening to the debate for a frank and honest political discussion about where our country is headed, not a \u201cHigh ya, look at me up here, and happy anniversary honey.\u201d <\/em>\u00a0I don\u2019t think it was appropriate for the President of the United States to turn the First Presidential Debate into some kind of a\u00a0nationally televised video\u00a0greeting card for his wife, Michelle. I don’t care how much he loves\u00a0her and the kids.\u00a0\u00a0It was inappropriate and he shouldn’t have done it\u00a0no matter\u00a0when their anniversary date actually is. How dare he misuse his\u00a0public office like that! It seems to me like he was trying to get a lot more mileage out of his wedding anniversary than it was actually worth. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Mitt Romney graciously let him get away with it, but I won\u2019t. It was inappropriate and it shows what a self-absorbed, arrogant and egotistical little individual Barack Obama really is. It didn\u2019t personalize him\u00a0for me. Half the country can\u2019t even stand him and his destructive socialist policies, and people are hurting economically under his yoke, and he had the audacity to get up there on stage at the very start of the Debate and say something\u00a0to try and make himself look more appealing and personable to the American people.<\/em><\/strong> Almost the very first words out of his mouth were, \u201cHigh ya honey, look at me up here and happy anniversary sweetie,\u201d<\/em> in front of over fifty million viewers. Paleeeeeze give me a break!\u00a0 How self-centered,\u00a0unprofessional, and out of place was that? Personally I think\u00a0it was\u00a0nothing less than shameless self promotion to use\u00a0the date of their wedding anniversary\u00a0that way! But it is the kind of self-promotion that I have come to expect from this man.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Doesn\u2019t\u00a0Barack\u00a0Obama\u00a0have any common sense, or a good sense of right and wrong? I know he doesn\u2019t when it comes to his misguided domestic and foreign policy initiatives. But now I have seen first-hand with my own eyes that even on a\u00a0smaller scale when it comes to simple basic rules of etiquette and social protocol, this President\u00a0just doesn’t get it. He is simply clueless! He\u00a0acts like\u00a0the whole world revolves around him and Michelle!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n From constantly bragging about catching Osama bin Laden, to bowing down before a Saudi Muslim Prince, to shamelessly wasting even one minute of the country\u2019s time informing us about his upcoming wedding anniversary, this man is all about himself.<\/em><\/strong> That was obvious from the very start of his Presidency when he returned a valuable bust of Winston Churchill which had been given to our\u00a0nation as a gift from England in spite of all the eyebrows that it raised. It was evident once again when he presented Queen Elizabeth with a gift C.D. compilation of several of his own speeches on the very first occasion of their meeting. And it is just as\u00a0apparent in recent photographs of himself sitting in the Oval Office with his feet propped up on the desk. And now he wastes all of our time by telling the\u00a0whole country at a Presidential Debate\u00a0that he is thinks he is the luckiest man in the whole world to be married to Michelle Obama, and that he and Michelle are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. How very romantic, but sorry\u00a0this\u00a0was the wrong venue for that.\u00a0He should do that some other time and place!
