\u00a02nd Amendment Not Written for the Purpose of Hunting Deer<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n By Scott Rohter, January 2013<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Second Amendment was not written\u00a0for the purpose of\u00a0protecting our right to hunt. It was not\u00a0placed in the Constitution\u00a0to ensure that millions of\u00a0outdoor enthusiasts\u00a0could\u00a0continue to exercise\u00a0their\u00a0constitutional right\u00a0to hunt deer, or elk,\u00a0or wild turkey.\u00a0 It was\u00a0put there\u00a0to protect\u00a0us from\u00a0a different kind of turkey…\u00a0the kind\u00a0that flock to Washington D.C.\u00a0to\u00a0exercise power\u00a0over us.\u00a0These birds of a\u00a0feather who want to tax us to death or into the poor house. \u00a0whose lust for power knows no end.\u00a0The Second Amendment\u00a0is\u00a0for the express purpose of enabling us to defend ourselves from\u00a0our own\u00a0government when it doesn’t follow the Constitution\u00a0 anymore\u00a0and\u00a0 when it no longer\u00a0respects the rights of its own citizens. It is there to protect us from\u00a0a government like the one that is slowly being\u00a0created for us\u00a0right now by our dear leaders in Washington. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n If the Second Amendment was\u00a0written to safeguard our hunting rights, than anything bigger that a single barrel shotgun\u00a0would not be unnecessary.\u00a0You don\u2019t need an AR15 to\u00a0shoot a buck or a doe, but the Constitution does not state that bearing arms\u00a0is for the\u00a0purpose of hunting deer. The\u00a0whole point of the Second Amendment is to\u00a0provide Americans with the ability to\u00a0defend ourselves from\u00a0a foreign invasion,\u00a0or\u00a0 from our own government if\u00a0it ever becomes\u00a0necessary.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n And since it is hunting season once again, and Congress has convened maybe we should take a good look at all of the turkeys in Washington who are actually stalking us\u00a0right now whose allegiance is not to the United States Constitution, but rather to\u00a0some new international\u00a0system of world order whose principles\u00a0are promulgated by the United Nations. Maybe we should hold hearings and\u00a0charge\u00a0some of our leaders in Congress with\u00a0treason.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Infringed is not a\u00a0difficult word to understand. We can all reflect on examples\u00a0in history,\u00a0and look around us\u00a0to see what happens when the people of a particular country don’t have any means available to defend themselves from their own government.
