A Conservative Strategy for Taking Over the Republican Party<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n and Taking Back America<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n by Scott Rohter, March 2013<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, their personal fortunes, and their sacred honor to form\u00a0this great Nation. You can read about what they sacrificed in the final sentence of the Declaration of Independence. The good work that they did is being\u00a0undermined and destroyed today at every level by Democrats and Republicans alike. Please don\u2019t think\u00a0for a minute that the Republican Party is\u00a0much better than\u00a0its evil twin sister, the Democrat Party.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Recently I received some correspondence from a lifelong Democrat whose father had been a personal acquaintance of John F. Kennedy. He told me that some of his father\u2019s friends used to run the Democratic Party in Massachusetts back in the day. He said he grew up with JFK\u00a0 and that they were best friends in school. He\u00a0told me that while he was still a Democrat\u00a0at he<\/span><\/span><\/span>art, he was\u00a0ashamed of what his Father\u2019s Party had become,and he was even more disgusted by the current leaders of the Democratic Party. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n He mentioned to me that he had just written a new book about\u00a0the Democrat Party\u00a0 which he called, This is Not your Father\u2019s Democratic Party.<\/i> I told him that I had\u00a0written an article on the same subject similarly entitled, Not the Democratic Party of Your Fathers<\/i> to which he replied that he already knew that which was why he had decided to contact me.\u00a0 By the way, in the interest of full disclosure I should also state for the record that the Republican Party is\u00a0not the Republican Party of our fathers either!\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n It doesn\u2019t\u00a0appear that anyone has figured out\u00a0how to get\u00a0either one of our\u00a0major political Parties back\u00a0under control\u00a0again. Poets have opined about the best laid plans of mice and men, and politicians have written complete books on how they went to Washington to change the system, but somehow the system managed to change them instead. May I\u00a0state that it is the corrupt influence of money in politics which is\u00a0responsible for that.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Justness of our Cause<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n As long as money reigns in the realm of politics we don\u2019t\u00a0stand a fighting chance of getting our country\u00a0under control again. As long as corporations are considered to be persons with the same Constitutional right to freedom of speech that are guaranteed to individuals under the Bill of Rights,\u00a0we will never have the opportunity to redirect our Nation\u2019s path. As long as corporate financed Political Action Committees are able to spend vast sums of money\u00a0to inundate the\u00a0airwaves with\u00a0slick political commercials\u00a0which are carefully designed to deceive us, we will never be able to hold our\u00a0politician’s feet to the\u00a0fire. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n As long as the spending of vast sums of money to influence our elections is considered to be covered by the free speech protections of the First Amendment then big business, big unions, and big money will continue to exercise big control over our big government.\u00a0 Thus they will rule our lives, but just for the record\u2026 corporations are not<\/span> persons, no matter what the current interpretation of the law is, or how badly it is misapplied. Corporations should not be allowed to enjoy the same rights to Constitutionally protected freedom of speech\u00a0that people\u00a0have under the First Amendment, at least not as far as it pertains to elections.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The current interpretation of the law is\u00a0wrong and this misinterpretation of the First Amendment is undermining our political system, and destroying what is left of our free elections. There is really very little left about our electoral process that is free anymore!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n In order to overcome the influence of big\u00a0business and big unions in our political system, we must first wrestle control of the\u00a0Republican Party away from the Establishment\u00a0who have driven it into the ditch and let it\u00a0sit there for the past twenty years. Since the days of Ronald Reagan the Republican Party leaders have been paying\u00a0lip service to conservative principles and to the Constitution. Meanwhile conservative values have lost their place in\u00a0American life.\u00a0The whole country has shifted drastically to the left\u00a0in the last twenty years.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Declaration<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We have tried to work within the\u00a0framework of the Republican Party to promote\u00a0those issues that are of deepest concern to us, but we are frustrated\u00a0at every level by powerful forces \u00a0within the Republican Party.\u00a0The Establishment\u00a0either ignores us\u00a0or they try to mislead\u00a0or deceive us. They are not above playing dirty tricks\u00a0or changing the Party’s rules behind our backs, or even\u00a0right under\u00a0our noses\u00a0through chicanery. By any means possible they\u00a0 prevent\u00a0us\u00a0from\u00a0exercising a meaningful voice in our Party’s important affairs. It is obvious that our\u00a0 strategy of\u00a0cooperating with the Republican Party is not working!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A New Direction<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n We need a new and\u00a0effective strategy that will yield better results… a new\u00a0direction that is\u00a0effective and above reproach. I propose that we emulate\u00a0the Founding Fathers. I\u00a0suggest that we do what they did. We need to pledge ourselves, our sacred honor, and a small portion of our disposable income to\u00a0a single\u00a0goal… to the peaceful takeover of the Republican Party so that we may save our country from\u00a0impending economic and political doom. It is a goal that is worthy of such a pledge.\u00a0It is a goal that the men who created our country would approve of. Conservatives who are disappointed with\u00a0the Republican Party should\u00a0take the\u00a0Pledge which should be posted and circulated\u00a0on the internet and through various other means.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Pledge<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n To the end of saving the United States of America from certain economic and political ruin we the undersigned signatories\u00a0agree to<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 1)<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Place our names on a list and agree to its being published in all fifty States and territories.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 2)<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Vote for all Republican Party candidates in all elections and abide by all the appropriate rules of the Republican Party and conduct ourselves above reproach at all times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 3)<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Pledge ourselves,\u00a0our sacred honor and a\u00a0small portion of our personal income to collect and publish the names on this list and to maintain the data base necessary to keep it current and published in all fifty States and territories.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n At such time as sufficient signatures have been obtained so as to allow for the complete takeover of the Republican Party on\u00a0all state,\u00a0and national levels\u00a0the Republican Party or the leaders of that part of the Republican Party in question\u00a0 shall be asked to immediately tender their resignations and new Party elections shall be held for the vacated positions at the earliest possible convenience.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This Pledge and the signatories\u00a0shall be electronically published in all fifty States and the names of all signatories shall be available on line.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n If you agree then please consider\u00a0helping other patriots.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, their personal fortunes, and their sacred honor to form a great Nation… The good work that they did is being undermined and destroyed today at every level by Democrats and Republicans alike.
