Less Government is the Best Government
Counterfeit Conservatives - Gingrich and Romney
-by Scott Rohter, December 2011 Updated March 2018
The Devil comes as an angel of light and sounds so convincing that if it were possible he would deceive even the very elect. Of course it isn't possible the Bible goes on to say because God is the guarantor of our heavenly salvation, but who or what is the guarantor of our earthly freedom? In the United States our Constitution is supposed to be the guarantor of our freedom, but how can this amazing document which is the great achievement of our Nation's Founding Fathers defend even one of our most sacred liberties if we are not willing to defend them ourselves? The plain and simple truth is that no assemblage of mere words, no matter how lofty and high-minded they are can defend our most sacred liberties from the encroachments of living politicians who are hell-bent on destroying them unless we are willing to insist upon strict compliance with the original intent and the clear meaning of the Constitution. The enemies of freedom are always there ready to try and twist the Constitution to conform to their progressive agendas.
Today, many leading Republicans don't sound much like conservatives. They are more like wolves in sheep’s clothing trying to deceive and influence the very conservative voters who elect them. Just who are these phony messengers of conservative principles? I’m sorry to say they are people you have come to know and trust... media personalities that you have grown used to hearing on the radio and television, or reading in the newspapers... famous people who have made small fortunes over the years, leading their congregation of Republican voters astray.
For eight years Rush Limbaugh carried water for George W. Bush. Laura Ingraham enthusiastically supported Mitt Romney's campaign for President. Mark Levin wholeheartedly endorsed Ted Cruz for President even though he is not a Natural Born American Citizen. All of these media personalities have one thing in common. They all have a high regard for Newt World Order Gingrich
Mark Levin is a man who wields a lot of political and ideological clout among conservative voters. He once called Congressman Ron Paul, “a real nut job.." In the next breath he called him a "crackpot and a neo-confederate" and all of his supporters "jerks and morons". If anything is fracturing the Republican Party it is that kind of hateful rhetoric. It’s people like Mark Levin who make statements like that which are dividing the Republican Party and allowing Democrats to run circles around us. The Republican Establishment better think long and hard before they try to shove another progressive RINO Republican like Gingrich or Romney or another Bush down our throats again!
I would not support Newt Gingrich for President under any circumstances. I will not support a nominee who describes himself as a ‘Real Politik Wilsonian'. I will not support someone who is a fan of Alvin Toffler’s books, The Third Wave and Creating a New Civilization: The Politics of the Third Wave. I will not support a man who views the United States Constitution as an impediment and a mere obstacle to be overcome. Newt Gingrich once said, that in order to understand him you had to read Toffler’s book, The Third Wave. Toffler believes that our current form of government is obsolete, and it needs to be replaced with a new kind of government, one that will work better. Those are the kind of ideas that Newt Gingrich embraces, and Mitt Romney is not far behind him! They are both members of the progressive Republican Establishment.
In 2014 Mark Levin did a lot to advance the political fortunes of Newt Gingrich just by claiming that Mitt Romney was the only progressive candidate in the race. Levin said that Romney was a member of the Republican Establishment while he totally ignored Newt Gingrich’s extensive Establishment credentials. Newt has a long record as a progressive ideologue with his twenty-two year membership in the Council on Foreign Relations. We have much more to fear from another progressive like Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney in the White House than we do from a strict constructionist the likes of Ron Paul.
