Cheating Your Way to the Top of the GOP Primary
Two Is Company - Three Was Just a Big Crowd!

-by Scott Rohter, December 2011

The Republican Presidential Primary race has narrowed by one this week, with Herman Cain tossing in the towel.  It already appears to be boiling down to a three-way race between a man who cheated on his wife, a man who is only accused of cheating on his wife, and another man who has probably never cheated on his wife… and never will! Now if that was the only thing that we knew about each of these candidates, who would you vote for?  Well, I’m old fashioned, so I’d probably pick the man who remained faithful to his wife! What about you?  If you can’t manage your personal life, and your own household successfully, then you are not ready for a promotion!  You are not ready to take on a job that requires even more managerial skills and responsibilities.  And you are not qualified to lead and govern a great country!  But apparently, many Americans don’t agree with me, if you can believe the latest polls.

Newt ‘World Order’ Gingrich, the man who actually did cheat on his wife, is in first place right now in Iowa, with an estimated 25% of the vote, according to a Des Moines Register poll.  Of course, he cheated on his second wife (he has had three) a long time ago, while he was still the Speaker of the House, at about the same time that Bill Clinton was chasing Monica Lewinsky around the Oval Office.  Nevertheless, Newt is also in first place nationally!  Apparently our country loves a cheater, at least if you are a fat, old, white man. That is probably the same conclusion that Herman Cain has drawn, and I don't disagree with him on that point!  In a recent national Rasmussen poll, Newt Gingrich leads the field with 38%.

Herman Cain, the man who was only accused of cheating on his wife (so far at least) is plummeting in the polls, and his fundraising efforts have dramatically fallen off, so he is giving up the good fight.  But he vows to remain relevant. However, when your fundraising starts to drop off, that is about the same time that the national media drops you! And everybody else stops paying any attention to you at all.  Mr. Cain served a useful purpose for the political Establishment, and the media moguls.  His campaign raised over $17 million dollars that will probably go to a candidate that he endorses (either Gingrich or Romney), or it will go into the general GOP coffers.  Much of that money was raised from donors who would not have knowingly given one penny to either Gingrich's or Romney’s campaigns, or directly to the GOP.  So basically, Herman Cain has swindled millions of dollars from conservative donors that will probably wind up first in the hands of one of those two progressive Republicans, either Romney or Gingrich, but ultimately most of it will end up in the hands of the Liberal-Progressive Establishment, who controls the media!  The money will be spent to broadcast their political message, and help get RINO Republicans elected.  After all, politics and elections are big business in America!  Ask yourself why the Republican Party doesn’t seem to mind spending all of your hard earned money with the progressive mainstream media?

Mitt Romney, the man who has actually remained faithful to his wife for over forty years, is about twenty percentage points down, behind the philandering Newt Gingrich in the latest Rasmussen poll taken on December 1st.  I guess it’s a good thing to be a philanderer these days!  What conclusions can we draw from these rather discomforting poll results?  Well, besides the well-known fact that the liberals in the media are probably fudging, or misrepresenting the data, just like they did in the ‘Climategate’ Scandal, and distorting it to their own advantage, I would say that Americans have been watching way too many daytime soap operas, listening to the lyrics from way too much rap and rock music, and staring blindly into their television sets every night for way too many long hours, soaking up all of the self-destructive, left-wing social engineering that the Progressive Establishment is willing to serve them.

Question:  Which candidate said that he didn’t like right-wing social engineering, any more than he liked left-wing social engineering?
Answer:    Newt Gingrich.
(Note:       We are going to need a lot of right-wing social engineering just to turn this country around and point it back in the right direction, in order to even see where the center is!)

For nearly the entire 20th Century, for almost the past 100 years, we have had nothing but left-wing social engineering in America.  Newt’s position on social engineering is just another reason to avoid the ‘Newt’ World Order Gingrich like the plague!

Mark Levin said on his radio program last week, referring to Newt Gingrich, “What difference does it make what a candidate said back in 1993?”  I’ll tell you what difference it makes.  Because they were actually in office when they said whatever it is they were supposed to have said. And that is exactly what we can expect from them in the future, God forbid, if by any chance they are ever elected to public office again!  I’d actually like to rephrase the question a little bit.  What difference does it make what a candidate says when they are running for office?  Most of them will say just about anything to get elected.  Maybe Mr. Levin can answer that!  I tend not to believe anything that a candidate says when they are running for office, especially if they are a flip-flopper like Mitt Romney, or just a plain old liar like Newt Gingrich is!  And I don’t need a Supreme Court decision to be handed down from the State of Washington, in order to tell me that most politicians think it is perfectly all right (and now it’s legal too) to lie to the public in order to get elected.  I believe what a politician does after they have been elected to public office!  Both Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney have been in office before, so we actually know what they will do!  Actions speak louder than words, and that goes for talk radio’s Mark Levin too!

For the past three years, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin, three friends who are the three biggest trumpeters of the Republican Party, have been trying to ingratiate themselves into the TEA Party Movement across America.  With all of their loud trumpeting of conservative values, combined with enough Obama bashing to satisfy even the strongest conservatives, ‘The Three Trumpeteers’ of conservative talk radio have unfortunately managed to fool a lot of very gullible, conservative voters into trusting them.  Now that we are in the fourth quarter, and it’s crunch time, they are all leading the cheering section for Newt Gingrich, who has never been a conservative in his entire life! He was NOT a conservative recently when he endorsed liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava in New York’s 23rd Congressional District special election over conservative candidate Doug Hoffman. And he was NOT a conservative in the past when he voted in 1979 to establish the U.S. Department of Education, which took the job of educating our children out of the hands of local control, and put it into the hands of the US Federal Government!  He actually helped convince his fellow Republicans in Congress to vote for this massive and un-Constitutional government expansion!  What kind of conservative would ever say, “The American challenge in leading the world is compounded by our Constitution…  Either we are going to have to rethink our Constitution, or we are going to have to rethink our process of making decisions.”  Newt Gingrich actually said those very words in a speech that he gave to the Center for Strategic and International Affairs in 1995.  Newt Gingrich has always been and always will be a progressive member of the elite Republican Establishment, until the day he dies, no matter what kind of religious conversion he claims to have experienced!

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin have all been working a very interesting political hustle on the public.  They are engaging in a rudimentary form of Machiavellian political strategy called transference.  They have been ingratiating themselves into the TEA Party, and now they are going to attempt to transfer all of the good will, loyalty, and trust that they have built up with their audiences onto either Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney, whoever the Party Establishment chooses.  Nice try guys, but some of us are on to you, and you are going to have a little blow back if you keep trying to do this.  I’d also like to remind you that to whatever extent you continue to try to push Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney on the Republican Party faithful, your own credibility, as legitimate conservative voices is on the line, and some of us will hold you accountable!  Only a fool with a very short memory still imagines that Rush Limbaugh is a conservative first, and a Republican second. Above everything else Rush Limbaugh is first a good businessman!  Then he is a strictly partisan spokesman for the Republican Party.  Then he is an entertainer.  And lastly, he is maybe, possibly a conservative!  Rush Limbaugh is the spokesperson for anything and everything Republican.  He is the Ed Schultz of the Repubulican Party!  It is the exact same thing with Sean Hannity, and I’m sorry to say probably for Mark Levin too, although I am only reluctantly coming to this conclusion.  I have come to like and respect Mark Levin for his knowledge, wit, and passion, at least the little I know from his on-air personality, but there is nothing on God’s green earth that is ever going to get me to transfer my feelings for Mark Levin onto Newt Gingrich!  Absolutely nothing!  So he might as well stop trying.  He can continue to bash John Boehner all he wants, in order to show that he is independent of the Republican Establishment, but Newt Gingrich is much worse than John Boehner ever will be, because Newt is actually an intellectual, as well as being a progressive member of the Republican Establishment. And as a progressive thinker, he is a far greater threat to our country than John Boehner!  The only nationally syndicated talkers that I am still reasonably sure are conservatives, are Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, Jerry Doyle, Roger Hedgecock, and I am holding my breath and crossing my fingers for Oregon’s own Lars Larson!

The candidate who cheated on his wife is the lying, former speaker of the house, Newt 'World Order' Gingrich: The Consummate Politician and Quintessential Progressive Establishment Republican.  See my article from December 2011.  About the best thing that I can say about Newt Gingrich is, that he is so smart that when he lies, which is most of the time, he sounds very believable! The man who is only accused of cheating on his wife (at least for now) is the usually over-confident, and very presumptuous Herman Cain.  His new book is subtitled, Herman Cain, My Journey to the White House.  Slow down, Herman, you haven’t been elected yet, and now you probably won’t be!  That’s a nice little title for a book that you should have waited to write until after you were elected President of the United States.  But that’s not going to happen now, so his book is not likely to become a best seller or a classic in anybody’s library, and it’s not likely to win the Pulitzer Prize. But it sure does illustrate just how presumptuous Herman Cain really is!  By the way, that is the same kind of presumptuousness that usually gets a man in trouble with a woman, or three women!  But of course, Herman Cain said that he has never done anything inappropriate with a woman in his entire life.  Oooh kaay!  That’s quite a little generalization there.  The only one I know who is perfect all of the time, went to the cross to die for my sins!

I think I’ll pick a President who has a little more common sense than to make blanket statements, and one who has a little more humility than Herman Cain has.  I’d like a President who is not so presumptuous as to write a book subtitled My Journey to the WhiteHouse, before the General Election has even been held, before he has been nominated by his Party, and even before a single vote has been cast in one State Primary election.  That either shows a massive amount of overconfidence, or a massive amount of stupidity!  While I am still on this subject, and because it is the Christmas Season, I would like my President to use a little more discretion, and have a little better control over what he says. For example, what about this gaff? “Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, if yo-not-rich, blame-yo-sef!”  Not everyone can be, or even wants to be rich.  To assume that they do takes a lot of hubris. The President of the United States should not be trying to assign blame to someone if they are not rich!  Duh!  I would also like my President to know where Libya is on a map, and how many states there are in our country (President Obama is just as bad as Herman Cain), and what the ‘Right of Return’ means to Jews and Palestinians.  He should also be able to come up with another answer to every question, besides his old 9-9-9!  But that’s enough about Herman Cain, except for one last thing.  Even Bill Clinton had more sense than to say that he never did anything inappropriate with a woman in his entire life.  He just simply said, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”  It’s just too bad that was a lie!

Now as for Mitt Romney, or Mr. Flip Flop, as bad as he really is for all of his waffling and shifting positions over the years, and his vacillating back and forth on the issues, he is actually starting to look a little better now when I compare him to his main rival, Newt Gingrich.  But wait… There is good news.  While it is not exactly tidings of great joy, nevertheless it is really good news!  There are still other candidates in the race.  I know you can’t tell because the media almost never mentions their names!  There is Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul, and Rick Perry.  They are all fine people and principled candidates, who have somehow managed to stay married to their spouses.  Not one of them has ever cheated on their partner, and more importantly they actually stand for something!  No shape-shifters, flip-floppers, or chameleons here!  They always say what they mean, and mean what they say!  Whether you completely agree with them or not, you at least know exactly where they stand on the issues!  They are not like the current front runners in the race, who hire focus groups, or Madison Avenue firms to find out what they need to say in order to get elected, or they just put their finger up in the air to see which way the wind is blowing before they issue a statement.
