It all goes back to something that President Dwight Eisenhower mentioned in his Farewell Address to the Nation. He warned us about the dangers of the “Military Industrial Complex”. Eisenhower used this phrase to describe the dangers posed by our industrial and manufacturing sectors as a result of the massive military buildup we had just gone through in order to defeat NAZI Germany and Japan during World War II.
