Going with the Wind
Difference without a Distinction?

By Scott Rohter, August 2012

There is a strong conservative wind blowing across the political landscape of America and only one of the country’s two major candidates for President seems willing to let that wind move him in the right direction. That man is Mitt Romney! Admittedly he wasn’t always so inclined to follow this wind in the past. He hasn’t always allowed this wind to guide him. In the past he has sometimes resisted the wind. But now he seems more willing to embrace it. He seems more comfortable with a conservative wind at his back than he ever did as a candidate for Senator, or Governor of Massachusetts! And he seems more likely to let this wind influence him too! He seems more inclined to let this wind trim his political sails.

His recent choice of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate is the latest proof of his new found willingness to embrace conservative values. Whether he is really solid yet in his new positions or just extremely reluctant to maintain his former ones is difficult to determine, but as long as he keeps moving in the direction of the wind, the point is totally moot! As long as he keeps going with the wind then it is a difference without a distinction!

Our only other real choice for President this year is Barack Hussein Obama. Contrary to the Republican Party candidate, President Obama will in no way let himself be influenced by the wind! He will in no way let himself be moved by the prevailing political breezes all around him. If he is re-elected to another term in office he intends to stand squarely in the path of the wind and resist it. He will maintain his positions and attempt to stop the wind! And he will try to turn it back. He will definitely not allow those prevailing political breezes encircling him to turn him around, or to move him in the right direction!

Barack Obama will squarely buck the wind. He will try to defy the prevailing political breezes swirling about him. He will continue to defy the Constitution and the Congress, and irate citizens all across America who are calling for a renewed respect for our traditions, our values, and our Constitution. Barack Obama will try to stir up a partisan political headwind of his own, to counter the backlash against his socialist policies. He will try to stir up his own union-backed headwind in order to nullify the prevailing winds of resentment that are following him!

The real danger is this… When two strong winds going in opposite directions collide with each other, they create a tornado! When that happens there is widespread devastation. That is exactly what is going to happen in Washington D.C. if we re-elect Barack Obama to a second term! And the results are going to be just as catastrophic for the Nation as they are when a real tornado strikes the heartland!
