The “Dream Act” stands for “Develop, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act”. If they come here before they are 16 years old, and remain here for 5 years, graduate from high school or receive their G.E.D. equivalency, or serve in the US military, this act would give illegal migrant workers a government subsidized college education and a pathway to US citizenship. Yesterday, the Democrats in the Senate conceded that they didn’t have the necessary 60 votes in order to pass this legislation, and allow this “nightmare” to be enacted into law. (Thank you, Republicans for blocking the bill.) However, Janet Napolitano a.k.a. “Janusch Napoleano” the head of Homeland Security said that “the Department of Homeland Security a.k.a. “Homeland Insecurity” would not use up any scarce resources in order to enforce our laws on otherwise law abiding illegal aliens.”
LAW ABIDING ILLEGAL ALIENS, really, Janusch? If people broke any other law and managed to avoid getting caught for 5 years, how would you feel about that? Are we now encouraging people not only to break the law, but to continue breaking it for 5 straight years and then, are we going to reward them for their success if they can avoid getting caught, with US citizenship? The Dream Act which was sponsored by Democrats, wrongfully gave preference to illegal migrants (who have broken our laws) over non minority law abiding citizens. The Dream Act is just another form of amnesty for illegals. It’s a good thing that this nightmare was not enacted into law. If they were allowed to go to college on the US taxpayer’s dime, they would be taking up space at a publically funded college or university that could otherwise be made available for US citizens! The failure of the Democrats to pass this nightmare legislation is a victory for conservatives and a victory for America!
